Artist Statement
Alyssa Johnson is an Australian artist and animator, specialising in figurine sculpting and digital illustration. She graduated from the Australian National University's Art School in 2013 and then moved to the Central East Coast of Australia to become a storyboard artist working on a children's television show for Planet 55 Studios and the ABC. Upon wrapping the first season of Prisoner Zero, Alyssa returned to Canberra and has taken to working on various freelance activities including prop making and titles and set design on Sammy J's Playground Politics, which was released online prior to the 2016 Australian Federal Election. In her free time, she likes to make figurines of various characters, creatures and public figures and dabble in digital media and drawing. Paleoart is a recent interest, particularly theropod dinosaurs represented with feather integument.
